Israel Diamond Exchange Welcomes 171 New Members
The Israel Diamond Exchange marked an important event last week which is not something that can be at all taken for granted – 171 new members joining the Israel Diamond Exchange, the IDE said on its Facebook page.
"The global diamond industry is faced with many challenges and this is a time when all the world's diamond centers are shrinking," said IDE President Yoram Dvash. "So it is all the more significant that it is at this time many and unusual new members are joining our ranks.
"This is a significant statistic not only about the special DNA of the Israeli diamantaire in particular and the unique nature of the Israeli Diamond Exchange in particular. I thank the Chairman of the Committee Ronnie Stadler for all his dedicated work and also Gedi Solomon who spoke on behalf of the new members.
"Whoever knows the diamond industry knows that because we are dealing with a special product, we have known ups and downs in the industry and that the reality is not easy. But we have always known not only how to survive, but also to recreate ourselves from new – stronger and more sophisticated. That's because we're all entrepreneurs and creative and each one fights in his own way.
"I want to tell you, you are not alone. You have good management which looks out for you. I believe in you and the IDE.
"We gave a special honor to at this ceremony for the memory of Herzl Siton who did so much for the exchange. He served as Chairman of the new members committee and worked till the last minute. He is responsible for accepting most of the new members at this ceremony
"And I know he'd be happy to see the new members here today. I wish you all the best of luck. Remember, we are always behind you, in every way and in every arena and never stop striving to contact and initiate more and more initiatives. No less importantly, our door is always open to new ideas and initiatives," Dvash concluded.
